Birthday greetings on the dock 😀 (Noah is the Photographer)
On my birthday, we left to Spain. Getting greeted with dolphins througout the day and night, arriving in Santander the next morning. It felt lovely getting to Spain.
The coast of Northern Spain early in the morning & the town of Lastres
Tapas, tapas, tapas..
The beautiful anchorage in Lastres
After two days of swimming and exploring the city we left for Lastres, a small little village Phil and I actually visited when Noah was still inside my belly. It was a beautiful setting with the city towering on top of the cliff, the water crystal clear and warmer. We did an excursion with our friends from Nausica to the dinosaur museum. Then headed for Gijon harbour, to fill our tanks and wash piles of clothes.
Phil and I had our 10 year anniversary (!), so we invited crew Nausica for tapas, and they invited our kids for pancakes at their boat, so Phil and I could go out in the the city on our own (big thanks!!!). It was poring down just like on our wedding, and we ended up on a small local restaurant, just perfect. Next day we went surfing with the kids, and Noah stood the first time on the surfboard, riding the wave several times, rarely have I seen him so proud and thrilled. Next stop was an amazing anchorage in Ria del Barqueo, where we walked throught the eucalyptus forrest, went swimming, exploring caves, fishing, had barbecue with Nausica, took the train to another city and enjoyed the tranquility of the place.

Another lovely beach barbecue with Nausica

Seven a clock – and the bilges filled with fresh water thanks to a leak…
After four days in the lovely Ria, we headed towards A Coruna. We got blown out of Bay of Biscay, an exciting day sail, and a big milestone. A Coruna, an exciting vibrant city, charming and full of life will be our home for the next few days 🙂
